Dmitry Kafanov getting involved with the Far Eastern Customs Directorate Advisory Board for Participants of Foreign Economic Activities

The 27th of September, 2016, Vladivostok, the Far Eastern Customs Directorate held a meeting of the Advisory Board for Participants of Foreign Economic Activities addressing the topical issues of implementing the Federal Laws “On the Free Port of Vladivostok” and “On the Areas of Priority Socio-Economic Development in the Russian Federation”.

The meeting of the Advisory Board was held with the aid of video conferencing between the Far Eastern Customs Directorate and all the customs offices of the Far East, and representatives from the Ministry for the Development of the Russian Far East, Far East Development Corporation, local agencies of federal executive authorities, of executive and legislative authorities of the sub-federal entities within the Far Eastern Federal District, businessmen of the Far East, representatives from community organizations and mass media.

In the course of the meeting the participants discussed the burning issues in applying the free customs zone procedure, which enables importing free of customs duties, taxes, as well as spared of non-tariff regulatory measures for processing and manufacturing equipment and feedstock, constitutive or replacement parts intended for usage in production within the territories that enjoy special economic regulation; and the new legal and institutional mechanisms aimed at simplifying the oversight procedures and maximal reduction of the administrative burden.
