Konstantin Ivanchin participated in the conference «Current Issues and Problems of the Antimonopoly Regulation and Law Enforcement in the Practice of the Russian Courts»

On November 15-16, 2018, the Сonference “Current Issues and Problems of Antimonopoly Regulation and Law Enforcement in the Practice of the Russian Courts” was held, in which Konstantin Ivanchin, the partner of Inmar Legal Ltd, a member of the Antimonopoly Experts’ Association, took part.

The Conference was organized by the Supreme Court of the Russian Federation and the Russian State University of Justice.

In the course of several sessions, conference attendees discussed current issues and problems of the antitrust regulation and enforcement, which arise in the practice of the courts in the Russian Federation. They include the problematics of the conceptual framework’s legal certainty, norms and institutions of the antimonopoly legislation, issues and problems of the legal treatment of the antimonopoly law violations, legal regulation of the commodity market analysis, control and supervision activity and administrative procedures, matters of responsibility for violation of the antimonopoly legislation, the problematics of regulation and enforcement in the context of interrelationship between the legal remedies of the antimonopoly and other areas of legislation, including the sphere of procurement.

The Federal Anti-Monopoly Service considers regulation of the digital platforms as one of its main tasks, said the Deputy Head of FAS Russia, Sergey Puzyrevsky. The Decree of the President of the Russian Federation regarding the main areas of the state policy on development of the competition provides for improvement of the antimonopoly regulation under the conditions of the digital economy for the purpose of preventing monopolization of markets – reminded Sergey Puzyrevsky. The FAS Russia developed “the fifth digital antimonopoly package”, which is now being publicly discussed.

The judges of the Supreme Court of the Russian Federation, judges of the arbitration courts and the courts of general jurisdiction, representatives of the Russian Federal Antimonopoly Service and other state authorities, representatives of the leading scientific schools in the sphere of law and economics, public organizations, practicing lawyers participated in the work of the conference.
